Maha Deva new song – as much as a movement as it is a party

Fox & Hopton take their signature ‘Spirit Rock’ sound and infuse it with ska inspired by 2 Tone vibes of the late 70s and 80s along with the groove of reggae and dub beats to create music that is alive and danceable, with a touch of darkness.

Clara and Craig are the artists behind the project that traces its origins back to 2008, when Craig revisited the ska/dub experiments of his ’80s band NTLA ComboNation and set out to blend them with a spookier, alternative edge. What began as sketches under the name Maheekats has now evolved into Fox & Hopton’s fully realized vision.

But this band is more than just music. Fox & Hopton channel 42% of all sales into environmental non- profits, using their groove-driven sound to raise awareness for forest preservation. With echo-drenched horns, hypnotic beats, and a mission rooted in protecting the natural world, Fox & Hopton deliver a show that’s as much a movement as it is a party.
